Follow the
public record.

Understand parliamentary pay, office spending and declared interests. Each is a different record, with its own reporting period and limits.

Start with the distinction

Four records.
Four different meanings.

An office expenditure figure is not a representative’s personal income. An allowance is not an expense claim, and a disclosure is not a net-worth estimate.

Salary

A statutory annual pay rate. Additional offices may attract extra pay under separate rules.

IPEA summaries

April–June 2026

Office spending,
with its evidence.

9 representative totals have been compared with IPEA’s published summary. This is a partial set, listed alphabetically. It cannot be used as a ranking or total for Parliament.

Other profiles remain under review. A missing figure means it has not passed this comparison; it does not mean no expenditure. Repayments and adjustments are retained separately.

How to read these figures

Amounts exclude GST and PAYG withholding. Expenses may be reported after someone leaves Parliament because of invoice or employment timing. A cost’s reporting quarter may differ from the travel or payment date.

We group the official transaction extract by office, require a unique identity and geography match, sum exact cents and check categories against the displayed total. These 9 figures also match the official summary. Missing or changed supplementary files stop the review from carrying over to a different source version.

Repayments, adjustments and certifications are separate files. State-wide office costs are not allocated to individuals here. We do not subtract supplementary amounts to invent a net figure.
